1) In any deal over the internet "common sense" is king. If a deal looks to good to be true it usually is. Listen to your head.
2) You are unlikely to meet the seller in person. Your own impressions of the seller is gleaned from the way he has worded his auction, and by any subsequent correspondence you have with him. Buy from somebody that impresses you, and that obviously knows what he is talking about.
3) Be absolutely certain that the chrome wheels you are buying are the correct size, etc. It is often difficult (and expensive) to start shipping wheels back for refunds.
4) Deal with a person that has a good reputation. This is easy to check. Click any item then look under "Seller Info" section. Next to their name is a number in brackets. This is the number of completed deals that they have done, and is usually a good indication of reputation. Below their name is a feedback rating (sellers cannot edit this in any way). Deal with people that have very good positive feedback. You can also read the feedback comments.
5) The biggest tip we can give you - communicate with the seller. Do not be scared to ask questions. After all you are about to spend some of your hard earned money. Good sellers will normally reply to you very quickly.
